It is important to have a correctly configured Streak pipeline before moving to plugin configuration. Here is a step by step guide that will help you to set up the Streak pipeline synchronised with Jira.
Step 1: Create a pipeline
If you already have the pipeline which you would like to synchronise with Jira, then you can skip this step. If you don’t have the pipeline, then press ‘+ New’ next to pipelines menu item within you Gmail account:
Here are some predefined pipeline types. You can pick any of them. For our example, we choose a “Sales / CRM” type.
There is a really simple pipeline, which will be used for further examples.
Step 2: Add a column for a Jira issue number (Mandatory)
In order to synchronise Streak and Jira, we need to create a column, which would store Jira issue keys. Important: this column is required in further configuration. Let’s create a Free form column in the pipeline. Click on the arrow icon next to any column, pick ‘Insert Columns’ and then ‘Free form’:
The new column has been added successfully:
The ‘Column 5’ name doesn’t look like a good name for such a valuable column. Let’s rename it to ‘Jirakey’, so it makes more sense:
Step 3: Adding additional columns (optional)
This step is optional. You can synchronise any of supported Jira fields
